It was clear that I liked to sing at an early age. I was 2 years old when I sang Puppy love by Donny Osmond (probably in my own way). When I was 11 years old I started playing on my mother’s guitar. At age 16 I got my first electric guitar and started writing songs.

During my internship in 1988 at youth centre “De Dobbe” I came in contact with Robin and Hermina. They rehearsed there with their band. I joined them as the bass player. I did that for 2 years and then switched to guitar. This band existed till 2009 under different names.

In the meantime I kept writing songs and recorded one song in Studio SAS, Groningen. The song ‘Haunting dreams’ was on the local radio station several times.

In the summer of 2003 Hermina and I became the background singers of BlackJack, a cover band. From 2004 till 2007 this band became the Herman Brood Tribute Show.

I played solo guitar in the band Civil Affairs, a cover band that started out in 2005 with colleagues from all over the country. I recently decided to leave the band because I want to focus on playing bass more and ofcourse pick up on my singer/songwriter activities. August 2012 was my last gig with Civil Affairs. A great way to leave (although sad too, cause I will miss these people for sure), playing the same stage as 3J's and Koos Alberts (famous Dutch artists)

In the summer of 2011 I started playing bass again in the band Tweaky Tones. It’s a workshop kind of band, 3 bands under 1 name. And if that's not enough I started playing bass in the coverband Girls Ink in september of 2012.

Oh, and where is the Dutch version of this page? I decided to keep it up in English, cause people outside Holland mostly don't speak/read Dutch and most Dutch do speak/read English. ;-)
